Our Month of July...

21/7/08 (Monday)

Phew…. Finally I see the sun!! Today is the first day; our life is sort of back to normal… wondering why I said so… another long chapter…

Since end of June, my 2 girls have been under some virus/bacteria attacked. Have been visited to paed almost twice a week, medical fees cost us more than RM 500 for the past 3 weeks! Thank god is all over!!

Don’t know how it get started, but my Wen Wen was down with cough & flu then fever… before she recover from cough & flu she was complaining her stomach ache & diarrhea. That lasted for almost 3-4 days. That was the first time ever, she complain that her bottle of milk is too much (even though is only about 3 ounces). Normally she will ask why we prepare so little milk for her even though the milk is already > 7 ounces. As a mother, I almost collapse seeing my darling chubby acted that way.

When she gains back her appetite, I thought I can jump in joy! But I was wrong! She now on high fever & she complain about her ear pain!! Another trip to paed, paed confirmed that stubborn/nasty phlegm was now filled her ear tube. Gosh!! Wen Wen was really on high fever, until I have to stripe her off & sponge her with water. That lasted for about 3-4 days. This time round, I thought is over but is NOT! Wen Wen’s fever on & off, no choice I have to make another trip to paed. Until the Paed show a long face, as he was also worry on Wen Wen’s condition. This time round, he prescribe a different antibiotic for Wen Wen… that happen last Thursday. Today finally, Wen Wen’s sun is out… she’s no longer having fever, now I only concentrated on the antibiotic. By this Wednesday, the course shld be finished. She went to school as usual. When I called her from office she was so excited talking about her activity in school… Thank god my nightmare is over…

Xuan Xuan’s story now…About the same time Wen Wen sick, my darling Xuan Xuan also down with cough & flu. Whatever happen to Wen Wen, it got spread to Xuan Xuan. The same story repeated itself on Xuan. Not long after the first visit to paed, Xuan Xuan also stomach ache, vomitted but no diarrhea. At one point of time also, Xuan Xuan down with high fever. I have to sponge her as well. The fortunate thing is that Xuan Xuan didn’t complain about her ear … but the unfortunate thing is that she got the eye infection!!! Wen Wen – ear infection, Xuan Xuan – eye infection! My heart is slice into pieces every time applying oilmen to Xuan Xuan’s infected eyes. Both her eyes got infected. Every morning, when she woke up, she can’t open her eyes. I have to use the wet cotton to wipe out all those sticky discharge before she can open her eyes again. Xuan Xuan is easier to manage compare to Wen Wen. Even though she wail & refuse to let me put on the oilmen for her, but after some grandmother story, she will still give in. If is Wen Wen, there will be violence involved. Phew… really…blessing in disguise…

My working days were darm long for the past 3 weeks…. As my heart was being steal by my 2 gals at home. I called back every 2-3 hours to check out their condition. I can’t concentrate in my work. But thank god…. I still manage to get it through…I’m happy that all is over…. Since yesterday, my house again filled with laughter, filled with their fighting noise, their quarrelling conversation & my grumble (ngam ngam cham cham)….
